Muslim Prayer and Jewish Prayer.
Sharing Space in the City of Angels.
Blessed are You Ad-nai who creates the possibility of the sacred.
Ya Allah, let our hearts recognize the sacred in one another.
Let us know one another and through one another know You.
Grant us courage to walk this righteous path,
praying side-by-side and yearning together for peace.
Peace within ourselves, peace within our own peoples,
and peace with one another.
_
Amin.
Amein.
Two Faiths One Prayer is a project creating safe and sacred space in the city of Los Angeles for Muslims and Jews to join together in prayer. Launched with a microgrant from NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change and support from our communities, we invite the world to learn that through prayer, even two peoples perceived as enemies can herald the possibility of peace.
Each of us will pray within our own religious customs, but at the close of our traditional prayers, we will recite a special prayer written by two of our members, Rabbi Kerry Chaplin and Sana Hasnain.
